
PREAMBLE
The Ghana Chemical Society (GCS) was founded in the year 1981, however, the Society became incorporated in 1995 under statutory provisions given by the Ghana Registrar General’s Department in 1973, (NRCD 143). Since its inception, GCS has focused on the gatherings of Chemistry practitioners from the academia and industry for the purposes of disseminating scientific knowledge and holding discussions on issues in relation to national and international development. The GCS is committed to the dissemination of scientific knowledge aimed at addressing local challenges and contributing to global development. The Society also champions advocacy in the chemical sciences, promotes career development, and supports the capacity building of young talents through mentorship, training, and professional development initiatives designed to nurture the next generation of scientists and innovators. This objective is achieved through seminars, schools and community outreaches, conferences, and workshops.
