    Prof. Akwasi Acheampong

    Prof. Akwasi Acheampong is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Dean of the Faculty of Educational Studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. He holds two PhD degrees from KNUST and the University of Paris-Saclay, France, as well as an MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a First Class BSc in Chemistry. A distinguished member of several scientific organizations, he currently serves as the Honorary National President of the Ghana Chemical Society. His research centers on Natural products, Lipids, pharmaceutical analysis and quality control, and analysis of water, food and food supplements.

    National Secretary

    Dr. Michael Baah Mensah

    Dr. Michael Baah Mensah is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and serves as the National Secretary of the Ghana Chemical Society. A Physical Chemist specializing in nanotechnology and biofuels, he holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from KNUST and has extensive international research experience through collaborations with institutions in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Cameroon. His research focuses on developing nanomaterials for water purification, heavy metal remediation, and biodiesel production through nanocatalysis. He is also passionate about teaching, mentorship, and empowering young scientists to apply chemistry to address real-world challenges.
